About This Site

This survey is a result of joint efforts of Cooperative Extension at the Universities of Massachusetts and Connecticut, and the state forestry agencies in CT, MA, and RI. Data are gathered quarterly for MA, CT, and RI, and summarized on the basis of east or west of the Connecticut River

In Connecticut, data are collected by Steve Broderick, Extension Forester, University of Connecticut Cooperative Extension System.

In Rhode Island, data are collected by Tom Abbott, Principal Forester with the RI Division of Forest Environment.

In Massachusetts, data are collected by David Kittredge, Extension Forester at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst.

All data are sent to UMass-Amherst, where they are entered, analyzed, and a quarterly report is produced.
