3^rd quarter 2005 stumpage price comments from respondents. Southern New England

Comments:

1. Red oak way down and will be for 6 months to a year; SM & BC still holding, F up a bit; P moving if you’re lucky! WP holding its own…
2. Harwood markets are down considerably. Softwood markets seem to holding well. Fuel wood market and pulp wood markets are excellent.
3. Just cut firewood, and waiting for oak markets to come up!
4. Oak is dropping along with other hardwood. Softwood is stable.
5. The market for red oak is soft. The markets for most low grade hardwood are not great either.
